It's Monday again.
It's okay. You have this new post to comment on and I hope a cup of coffee like me. That will make it better.
Right?
Well, it should.
Or maybe my holiday themed mug will. We all know how much I love Christmas.
Anyway, this new Segment didn't really do too well last week, but I don't plan to give up on it quite yet. What I didn't mention in the first post of this series is that my Monday thoughts may not always be just hobby specific. It will be based on whatever my actual thoughts are.
With Thanksgiving coming up this week, that has me thinking what my favorite food is for the holiday. Is is the turkey? stuffing/dressing? cranberry sauce? dessert? I honestly don't know how to answer this. But, if I had to choose, I think my mashed potatoes might have the edge.
Without gravy though. I am not a gravy fan. (I see the shock on your face)
So for today's Monday topic, tell me in comments your favorite Thanksgiving dish, food or dessert item.
We all know the key beverage is coffee so I wasn't going to include drinks as part of it :)
Hope everyone has a good Monday.

dressing with giblet gravy, mmh. alas there won't be any this year just some stuffing which is okay to go with the turkey. I miss mama's dressing and even more so my aunt ruth's. it was the best.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little hard to pick out one item, because I like the combination of stuffing on a bed of mashed potatoes (or white rice) with gravy poured on top. But ever since my mom passed away, nobody in the family seems to be able to replicate it. So I guess I'll just go with pumpkin pie.
ReplyDeleteAs for my morning coffee... it's sitting right next to me as I type. Today's pick? Peppermint Pinwheel by Nespresso with a tablespoon of condensed milk. It's delicious.
It's the turkey for me! My father in law fries one every year, and it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteI like the Christmas mug and coffee in it makes it even better. My favorite is probably mashed potatoes with an indented area (trough) for corn and gravy. If I could have my Grandmothers Lefse and Grandfathers Potato Sausage it would be a tasty trip down memory lane. Happy Monday all!
ReplyDeleteI think stuffing with gravy. I'm definitely a gravy fan. And usually some sort of chocolate cake in the dessert course.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite has to be pumpkin pie with Cool Whip. Costco makes a huge one for really cheap!
