*waiting for you to get coffee in hand*
*takes sip, gets ready to post*
Welcome to the next edition of 5 Things I Did In The Hobby Last Week. I am glad a few of you have reached out and let me know this is one of your favorite segments on here. I like information such as that.
But, for those of you that are new to this segment, here is the background to it:
This series is once again related/played on by Elon Musk's email to government officials in February 2025 asking them about what five things/accomplishments they did for the week.
Also, once again, this is not about politics. I just liked the idea.

1.As always, I did a lot more social media posts across my planet of them. I started doing Rodney Hampton, Eli Manning updates along with small mail day posts on there since it's much faster to send out a social media message than putting up a big blog post.
If you want to catch up on stuff you missed out on, here is a list of all of my social media channels: Cards Over Coffee YouTube Channel is for cards:
Cards Over Coffee - YouTube
Matt's World Of Fun YouTube Channel is for everything else:
Matt's World Of Fun! - YouTube
On top of this, I have two Facebook accounts, Cards Over Coffee and Sport Card Collectors,
Twitter/X: Coffee Card Guy
Instagram account: Coffee Card Guy
Bluesky as Cards Over Coffee
There you have that. Now go check me out on those!
2. I finally sat down, did the numbers....
3. I did some sorting!!!!
I finally broke down the package that came from blog reader Grady M and sorted it out. It was a long but fun process. I also had to count all incoming cards which is why number two on this list will need to be updated again.
4.I made a weeks' worth of posts and commented on other blogs as well. I need to take the time next week and reply to everyone's comments.
5. I gathered cards and pictures I want and am taking for future posts. I won't be able to do this once my shoulder surgery is set to happen so I need to get on top of that now so I can actually post this summer still.
And there you have it. Five things I did in the hobby last week.
I hope to keep this series going when I have time to post on it.
*takes this posts final sip*
Tell me five things you did in the hobby last week or make a comment on mine. I will make sure to read and comment back on all of them.
Have a great Thursday!

1. I like the cards in vs. cards out stat. You are very giving which is a great thing.
ReplyDelete2. Sent out a few cards.
3. Organized my collection.
4. Searched for set build needs.
5. Read and commented on some great blogs. Even read some new to me blogs that I had not seen before.
Coffee in hand, enjoy the hobby all!
1.Still filling out applications
ReplyDelete2.Located The Complete Picture Collection Topps book from 1951 to 1985 at an estate sale for $10
3.Added 4 new basketball sets to my lists of wants
4.Went to 3 Thanks for your application were going another way interviews
5.Still haven't gotten a paycheck from my time at Subway
👍
ReplyDelete1. Completed two sets. One was one of those MJ tribute sets from the 90's. Another was an A's team set. Both set completions were fulfilled by eBay purchases.
ReplyDelete2. Inspired by a recent flea market purchase, I started working on my second 1977 Topps Star Wars set build. As a nod to my childhood collection, I won't be very picky about condition. Figure I'll just slowly add singles whenever I come across them in the wild.
3. Bought some Card Savers I on eBay. Needed it for a ticket stub I found in a collection.
4. Hammered out two blog posts. Most I've written in quite some time.
5. And of course... I've continued to read and comment on blogs. It helps me kick off my mornings most days of the week.
