5 Things I Did In The Hobby Last Week

Welcome to the next edition of 5 Things I Did In The Hobby Last Week. I am glad a few of you have reached out and let me know this is one of your favorite segments on here. I like information such as that.

But, for those of you that are new to this segment, here is the background to it:

This series is once again related/played on by Elon Musk's email to government officials in February 2025 asking them about what five things they did.

Also, once again, this is not about politics. I just liked the idea.

*its best to never post politics, make friends, not enemies*

*takes a sip of fresh brew*

I can't believe it's been since the end of March since I last posted one of these, so let's see what I did in the hobby the last couple of weeks.

Hopefully now that I will be slowing down for three weeks from school, I can get some new posts up and get caught up from the stack of mail and card sorting I have to do.

Without further ado, here are the 5 things I did in the hobby last week,

1.As always, I did a lot more social media posts across my planet of them. I started doing Rodney Hampton, Eli Manning updates along with small mail day posts on there since it's much faster to send out a social media message than putting up a big blog post.

If you want to catch up on stuff you missed out on, here is a list of all of my social media channels:Cards Over Coffee YouTube Channel is for cards:

Cards Over Coffee - YouTube

Matt's World Of Fun YouTube Channel is for everything else:
Matt's World Of Fun! - YouTube

On top of this, I have two Facebook accounts, Cards Over Coffee and Sport Card Collectors,

Twitter/X: Coffee Card Guy

Instagram account: Coffee Card Guy

Bluesky as Cards Over Coffee

There you have that. Now go check me out on those!

2. A couple of weeks ago, I sorted and bagged up more cards for my girls AAU team. Each girl got a baggie with cards-including Caitlin Clark because our team's name had Fever in it-stickers and matching wristbands which we all wore for the weekend games.

3. I finished a bigger trade with a Twitter friend. I had to go through tons of pictures and circle cards I wanted. It was basically a big trade for base.
.
I am hoping I can finally get some cards out to blogging friends soon for pwe trades! My mailbox has been too empty recently.

4.I uploaded some pictures on here to blog about, now to find time to blog about them. I did put up a couple new posts last week; they didn't really hit. No comments, low views, I wonder if my long break hurt them. Hopefully new posts next week won't have those same issues (or today's).

5.I have been commenting on other blogs when I have had time in-between to do so. Either way, I have read all of the new blog posts regardless of if I have time to comment or not.

And there you have it. Five things I did in the hobby last week (or month).

I hope to keep this series going when I have time to post on it.

*takes this posts final sip*

Tell me five things you did in the hobby last week or make a comment on mine. I will make sure to read and comment back on all of them.

Have a super Saturday!

    5. Still haven't made my 100th trade on TCDb. Sitting at 99.
    Enjoy the hobby all!

  2. 1) put the stacked up Braves into their binders.
    2) checked Heritage and AG for st builds needs and entered them into TCDB.
    3) scrolled for some tuff Braves on Ebay (several times)
    4) paid Sport Lots for the 100 cards in my cart (once they have arrived in my box, I'll have them shipped along with the 200 already there).
    5) Dumped about 500 cards into the S' boxes for the PC update.

  3. I started research into a single future blog post that turned into five deeper dives. The more I research this project (old Leaf cards) the more new information turns up.
