It's close to 8 p.m. where I am and I had a few minutes to put up a post, but don't have any cards to show off.
So, let's just chat.
Today, I got to watch my NY Giants break my heart and lose to the New Orleans Saints despite a desperate comeback late in the fourth quarter. They are still 3-2-1 and in first place at this point. How long that lasts this season time will tell.
But, I am still excited about the effort they are putting in this year and I think giving them another year they could be a contender.
Also, I held my third Open Gym for basketball preseason yesterday. There were 19 girls signed up for Open Gym, only 6-8 have shown up every week. Despite the lack of girls, the lack of talent wasn't missing. There was two sixth grade girls who have never played before that picked up on stuff I coached really quickly. It's a great feeling as a coach to see this and know that I have a hand in this.
There are still two more preseason Open Gyms in October left, then there will be two-a-week starting in November and the teams will be placed together by December 1st. In November, I have a training and a coaches meeting with the Athletic Director as well.
The fall semester for college hasn't been fun which has what has been contributing to my lack of posting and hobby in general. I have two A+ at this point and one A. The A is in the Intro to Earth Science class that has been so tough. It takes me six to eight hours to do the work for that class and it has been complete torture. I hate it. It drags me down on a weekly basis and I still have a long nine weeks left with a huge project at the end.
And finally, tomorrow will mark my wife and I's twenty-four year wedding anniversary. It doesn't feel that long but it has been. Crazy to think how fast time has gone by and how much has changed in those twenty-four years.
Let me hear what you have been up to and anything interesting in your life. Hopefully I can get back to cards soon and card posts.
Have a good night!

a. Watching the Packers/Cowboys game. Hopefully the Packers will hold on to win... which will help your Giants.
ReplyDeleteb. Tomorrow is the start of the 2nd quarter. Hard to believe we're 1/4th of the way through the school year. Things should start slowing down right after parent/teacher conferences in a few weeks. Not complaining though. I have five really solid classes. First time that has happened in a few years.
c. Good luck with your basketball season and your classes.
Thanks and yes, I was watching that game too! Packers dominated that. Love looked really good as well.
DeleteCongrats on your 24 years. My wife and I will be celebrating our 39th anniversary in November. The Vikings are still unbeaten but didn't play this week. It doesn't always have to be about cards but don't forget the coffee! Enjoy it all!
ReplyDeleteIt was too late for coffee even for this decaf guy lol. and thanks!

4. Excited about upcoming packages heading my way when the traders tell me they're in route.
5. Figure out when I might be able to restock my coffee supply down to 15 bottles wish I knew what store might have a deal in getting them.
I may or may not have something coming your way in my Christmas mailings. I also need to touch base with you on those sets you have commented on. Just haven't had time to sit down to even send an email.
DeleteThe TMNT I need all and pretty much the same with the basketball metal universe.
