HAPPY NEW CUP OF COFFEE OF THE NEW YEAR!!
*takes a sip*
Today's post is my attempt like many others of making a list of things I hope to do and changes I want to make that I won't end up doing or making the changes to.
Just trying to be honest.
But, here's my list of goals anyways. Maybe I will actually do one.
This year, I have some things to accomplish in the hobby, blog and personally.
Personally, I put on the ten pounds I wanted to lose last year and I am heading into the wrong direction with my health conditions so I want to lose that. I also want to make sure I can balance out life and school better this year. But, that also means I hope to actually continue with school and keep the momentum from Semester one going.
For the hobby, I really need to cut back from last year's massive list. I feel like between life and school now, my hobby list needs to be way shorter to feel like I can accomplish some of the things I hope to.

- I need to penny sleeve all of my inserts. I have tons of penny sleeves now, it's time to do the longer part of the job.
- Label my boxes like my binders and re-number them all (everything is lost right now)
- Binder up my non-sport cards and sort them by sets.
- Remove the index cards from my Giants PC and use Card Dividers instead (index cards are too flimsy and hard to read)
- Complete my Griffey card count and get a final number
- Put away all of the cards from 2025 that need to be taken care of (two 5000 count boxes full)
- Update my Rodney Hampton PC on TCDB
- Focus on finishing up some long time 90's sets, I am looking at you 1997 Spx basketball
Now onto my blogging ones,
- List more set needs on the blog
- List PWE trade cards on the blog
- Reach 80 followers
- Reach One Million Views (it's a reach, but hey)
- Blog. Just blog.
There you have it. A much more condensed list then last year, but this is also a list of things that will take awhile to do.
I may do a couple check-in posts like last year on these to see how far I have gotten or not gotten.
Let me know some of your New Years Goals (especially if it involves coffee and cards) in comments and any thoughts on mine.

Your outlook is great, and I like the way you look at goals. Goals do not work for me. I just keep going forward and look for a positive in everything. Yes, that is not always easy. Let's go and try to make 2026 the best year yet. Coffee please?
ReplyDeleteI didn't set any hobby goals this year, but I have a few cards that I'll be targeting and hope to add to my collection by the end of the year. As much as I believe that goal setting (in regards to the hobby) is beneficial to collectors, it's often counterproductive for me (in the sense that I tend to get fixated and stressed in the worse way). So like RJ, I just move forward, work hard, and try to be the best person I can be. That being said, I do have personal and work related goals that I'm always working towards. Happy New Year!
