5 Things I Did In The Hobby Last Week

Good Morning Coffee Card Friends!

*takes a sip*

Welcome to the next edition of 5 Things I Did In The Hobby Last Week. I am glad a few of you have reached out and let me know this is one of your favorite segments on here. I like information such as that.

But, for those of you that are new to this segment, here is the background to it:

This series is once again related/played on by Elon Musk's email to government officials in February 2025 asking them about what five things they did.

Also, once again, this is not about politics. I just liked the idea.

*its best to never post politics, make friends, not enemies*

Here we go onto my five things.

1.As always, I did a lot more social media posts across my planet of them. I started doing Rodney Hampton, Eli Manning updates along with small mail day posts on there since it's much faster to send out a social media message than putting up a big blog post.

If you want to catch up on stuff you missed out on, here is a list of all of my social media channels:Cards Over Coffee YouTube Channel is for cards:

Cards Over Coffee - YouTube

Matt's World Of Fun YouTube Channel is for everything else:
Matt's World Of Fun! - YouTube

On top of this, I have two Facebook accounts, Cards Over Coffee and Sport Card Collectors,

Twitter/X: Coffee Card Guy

Instagram account: Coffee Card Guy

Bluesky as Cards Over Coffee

There you have that. Now go check me out on those!

2. Hey, I updated the blog with two new exciting things off to the right side of it. Well, exciting for me at least.

I want to keep track of my cards in 2026. The amount I get in, the amount that I ship out and the amount that gets traded. This should be fun.

3. Well, I pulled off my first big trade of the year and it wasn't cards for me in return.
.
I traded all seven of these away to land a cool gift for each of my basketball girls. I sacrificed a lot here for them, hopefully they enjoy the gift I have for them.

4. I began sorting some of my newer add ins into piles to be marked off on TCDB. Now to sit down and find the time to accomplish it.

5. I have kept my card room clean, mainly because I still don't have time for cards and start school again on Monday. But, anytime I have added anything, I am quick to now put it in the right section so when I have time again for cards they will be ready.

And there you have it. Five things I did in the hobby last week.

I hope to keep this series going when I have time to post on it.

*takes this posts final sip*

Have a Super Sunday and in comments, tell me five things you did in the hobby last week or make a comment on mine.

  3. I like that idea of keeping track of trades and if you don’t mind am going to borrow that idea!

I am sure your team will appreciate their gifts! I like to do something similar with cards for the little league baseball teams I coach!

I like the idea of keeping track of your trades too. It's something I'd consider doing, but ultimately I know I'd end up flaking/forgetting eventually.

  5. I wish I had enough time to keep track of the number of cards I ship out/get in. It'll be fun watching your totals go up.
