I Pity The Fool who doesn't read this post.
As soon as summer ended in early October this year, fall moved by fast and now I feel like we have reached level four of the yearly Jumanji with winter already.
I just can't believe how fast this year has flown by. It has flown by so fast that I found myself finding cards or in today's case an item that I never shared with you guys that I acquired this summer but had in the drafts on here.
Now it's finally time to share it.
I Pity The Fool who doesn't get to see it.

Early this summer, along with the other trades I pulled off with my father, I also landed a pretty cool piece for my non-sports collection. This is a Mr. T and The T-Force Tri-Folder. It's packed with a few unique items that I guess were distributed to comic book shops in the 90's.
Inside letter with information on it.

And then behind that was this autographed copy of the comic book that is also hand numbered. I guess he autographed a bunch, looks like 10,000, first edition copies that went out to comic book stores to help promote the comic. This is a really cool piece.
However, makes me wonder how long it took him to sign that many pieces MT. Reminds me of today's NFL rookie autographs.
I have no idea how my father got the item, but I think he knew who to trade it to once he got his hands onto it.
There are two more pieces that go to this including a Certificate Of Authenticity which I have but however the special edition card I did not see with mine. I guess that will have to be added to the want list at some point so I have the set.

I had never heard of the comic book until I got this piece, not that I am a big comic book nerd to begin with. But, I am a nerd overall with the comic book characters.
I will say that I have not looked at the comic as I am trying to preserve it from getting ruined especially the autograph. I do need to find a better way to save it from any elements down the road.
Today, let me know in comments if you have ever seen anything like this and what your favorite Mr T role was even if it was a commercial. Mr T was everywhere. Mr T for me came from The A-Team.
Just comment below!

Never heard of this comic, but having a Mr. T autograph is awesome. I mainly remember him for three things:
ReplyDelete1. A-Team
2. Rocky III
3. WWF
I forgot about WWF when it comes to him
DeleteThat is a very cool item to have. I remember him most in A-Team. Winter has shown up, but the snow can take a delay for a while. Coffee with Peppermint Mocha? Yes please. Have a great Sunday all.
ReplyDeleteI just grabbed some peppermint mocha! It's Christmas season so it's time!
DeleteA-Team.
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteYou can never, ever go wrong with Mr T.! I have the comic but not autographed.
ReplyDeleteIt appears this set is kind of cheap on certain websites but not others. I still think it's a cool item to have regardless especially the autograph
DeleteSipping some hot chocolate on this cold night, Mr.T brings back memories...
