What a weekend of sports that was for me personally. Probably one of the best ones.
First, let's kick it off with my first head coached basketball game.
It was a little back and forth at first, than we started to crumble on defense and found ourselves down at the half 10-6. We were also at a disadvantage playing on higher hoops than normal for this age group.
But, at the half, we went over our defense, didn't do any warmups and just talked the whole ten minutes.
We came out in the second half and played amazing.
We outscored them 12-0 and won the game 18-10.
This picture will always symbolize my first great moment as a head coach. Yeah, it's just 3rd/4th grade, but it meant a lot to me.
It's a proud moment.
Next, I don't have a picture for this, but another great game yesterday by Jaxson Dart as he led my Giants over the hated Cowboys 34-17.
We are only just a good coaching staff and a few defensive pieces away I think. Looking forward to next season (as I say this every year and then turn out disappointed).
And finally, I am the champion my friend....I kept on fighting til the end!!! Well, after an up and down fantasy football season with injuries everywhere, my free agent signings paid off and I came back to win the championship. Third time in four years in my Sport Card Collectors fantasy league.
I am not sure how your sports weekend went, but let me know if it was better than mine.
Now if only the Eagles and Patriots can lose next weekend, that would make two great weekends in a row. My second basketball game is next Saturday and I have two practices this week.
Hope everyone has a great day and a great cup of coffee.

Congratulations on the the basketball, NYG, and fantasy football wins!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your wins over the last few days. The Vikings won their 5th in a row in a relatively dull game, but it was against the Packers! The coffee is always good. The temperatures were fairly moderate today with a high of 31! Enjoy the time all.
