Six

*coffee is brewed and ready for this momentous occasion!*

*takes a sip*

Six years ago, I said, "hey, this is Covid, we are stuck at home, we have nothing else better to do why not start up a new blog?" I went back and forth on it and glad I never went back. Cards Over Coffee has been a lot of fun since Day 1.

I was looking for a new outlet since Sport Card Collectors was slowly dying off and I felt at that point there really wasn't a full way to save it. The idea was that an outlet was going to be the new way to keep on blogging and Cards Over Coffee was the way.

It was a way to combine my two favorite things, cards and coffee, while also being able to have conversations on both.

Sadly, the blog has taken many shapes over the years, I still feel the first two years were my strongest on here, but it still chugs away (see what I did there?) and I still try to be as creative as possible hoping that everyone will come back and keep reading.

One of these years the big goal would be to win Blog Of The Year, it has come close a couple of times on a couple different sites, but just to be able to continue on is really the main course right now. With school, sports and life taking up a lot of time, blogging has been on the backburner. I am still passionate about doing it and still feel like I can, but it will have to be at times that works best for me.

However, this blog wouldn't be worth writing if it wasn't for you guys the readers who come back and read every post I put up. The comments may not always be there, but I can still see it's being read and I thank you for that.

Here's to a great sixth year going on seven. Thanks for reading, sipping and talking about Cards Over Coffee with me.

In comments today, let me know your favorite types of posts to read on here.

Also, quick side note, Happy Birthday to one of my best blogging friends on here, Wes!!!!! If you have contact info with Wes still, don't forget to wish him a Happy Birthday!
