Taste The Rainbow

*sits down, takes a sip and gets ready for a new post on Cards Over Coffee*

*takes another sip, copies and pastes a post from another blog that was supposed to publish there but decided to keep it here to only have one blog*

*another sip, does some editing and is ready for the post*

In the hobby when it comes to chasing rainbows, I treat it like Skittles, I want to taste the rainbow.

Not try the whole thing.

In today's hobby unless you have deep pockets, collecting an entire rainbow run of player is impossible. So, I just add a few of some of my favorite players just to see some color.

The recent player and card I chose is Eli Manning from 2023 Prizm Draft.

Even though I don't like college football or cards with college football uniforms, I find it a cheaper way to do a taste of the rainbow.

I landed one Eli for cheap, then got addicted.

I don't have the base card to kick off the chase, so I started with these first. Seems backwards, but base are easier to land at some point.
Silver Parallel

Gold Ice

Ruby Wave

And my first Snakeskin in my collection. This is a case hit SSP. Very cool looking card despite not being a fan of snakes.

Here is the overall look at the rainbow, what I have is crossed out (a couple are on their way) and what's left,
Gold Ice, Green, Purple Wave, Red IceRuby WaveSilverSnakeskin, White Sparkle, Red /299, Blue Wave /249, Blue /199, Purple Ice /149, Red Finite /125, Blue Ice /99, Blue Finite /89, Purple /75, Gold Flash /49, Organa Pulsar /49, Red Flash /49, Orange Finite /39, Green Pulsar /25, Mojo /25, Gold Shimmer /15, Neon Pink Pulsar /15, Gold /10, Green Shimmer /8, Black Gold /5, Black Finite 1/1, Black Shimmer 1/1, Gold Vinyl 1/1.

*takes a sip before finishing up today's post*

I am not sure how many overall I will chase, but if I find some cheap ones, I will add them. No way I chase the full thing with three 1/1's as well. Panini has gone crazy.

However, as a side bonus, with each add to this run, it gets me a step closer to 1,000 different Eli Mannings as well.

That goal hopefully comes faster with a chase like this.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Coffee Break:2021 Prizm Draft Picks Baseball Cello Pack

*takes a sip, gets ready for the latest republish post on Cards Over Coffee*

Usually, I don't buy a lot of Panini collegiate baseball or USA products, it just isn't a "me thing". But, when I saw it was Prizm, I took a dive.

Darn you Prizm!

This product includes the top prospects in the game including Henry Davis who graces the cover of packaging all across it's many forms.

Today, I am giving a cello pack a rip.'

*takes a sip, begins to rip*
In every cello pack you will find 2 individual packs.

One of the packs is a 12-card pack and the other is a bonus 3 card Parallel pack.

The parallel pack this time is Carolina Blue parallels which look like the Blue Lazers they once produced.

Each of these packs go for $15.98.

I don't know many of the names, actually I know none, so you guys will have to tell me how I did.
Here are the base cards I found in my pack.

There are 220 cards in the base set. Feels like much more than a usual release like this one.

With Prizm, there are plenty of parallels to find including,
Blue, Blue Mojo, Blue Wave, Blue Velocity, Green Pulsar, Hyper Blue & Carolina Blue, Hyper Green & Yellow, Hyper Red & Purple, Pink Velocity, Red, Red Mojo, Red Velocity, Red Wave, Silver, Red Donut Circles /99, Tiger Stripes /99, Lime Green /75, Neon Orange /50, White Donut Circles /50, Power Plaid /35, Blue Donut Circles /25, Snake Skin /25, Burgundy Cracked Ice /23, Navy Blue Kaleidoscope /15, Red Pulsar /11, Gold /10, Navy Blue Pulsar /5, Black Finite 1/1, and Gold Vinyl 1/1.

Carolina Blue Parallels from the bonus pack.

Green Pulsar

Silver Prizm

There are inserts to seek out as well.
Those even have parallels but not nearly as many as the base. They have the following,
Silver, Gold /10, Black Finite 1/1, and Gold Vinyl 1/1.

Power Surge, fun looking insert and I would imagine looks even better with some color. There are 20 cards to collect in the set.

Crusade feels like a worn out subset and insert in Panini Draft Picks products. There are 15 of these to collect. I prefer not having these as a subset or insert anymore.

Let me know your thoughts on my break. I don't know any of these guys so you can be the judge on how this break went for me as well.
