5 Things I Did In The Hobby Last Week

For my first post of March due to being busy with family, I see you all being disappointed by this, I thought I would reply to Elon Musk's email about 5 Things I Did In The Hobby Last Week.

Though his email was government related, I prefer to stick with the hobby.

So, here are five things I did last week....besides spending family time and drinking coffee.

1.

I tweeted out my Malik Nabers collection so far. Which ended up getting a lot of feedback as my highest rated tweet all-time. Which says a lot since I have been on Twitter for over ten years. This tweet also brought in some free Nabers cards and some trades.

2.

I finally sent out some due PWE's for back trades I had cards sitting around for. I still really need to hit back S.R. '75 Cards blog and start my other ones with fellow bloggers for my firsts of 2025. Hopefully now that basketball is done and family visiting is over, I can find some time.

3.

I finally took a few minutes out to get some cards put away. These football and baseball rookie cards have been sitting on my floor for three months.

4.

While family was visiting in my downtime with them, I window shopped eBay and added some things to my watchlist.

5.

I got a my latest trade mail day from blog reader/friend Oren.

I am always willing to add Metal Universe to my collection. I am chasing all sets from all sports for the first couple years that look like this. These are some of the coolest looking base cards out there.

Another fun design for a Fleer insert.

Collectors Choice or in this case when they rebranded it as UD Choice, was mainly a kid's brand, but I liked it as an adult.

I must admit, I had to look up this Drea to see who she was, but I have always been a big collector of thse Fans Of The Game.

Speaking of which, another one. This time a legendary voice that COULD...GO ....ALL...THE....WAY! Now I just need a Berman auto.

Ray Allen turning back the clock in this insert.

I bet this as a refractor is awesome.

Same with this one

And this one came as a surprise. Oren wondered if I had this already, I might, but haven't fully confirmed that yet. I will have to look on TCDB to know for sure. With over 150 different Williams cards, that's the only way I can keep track now.

Thanks Oren! Hope you liked what I sent back.

Well, I hope you enjoyed what will now be a new segment on here. Feel free other bloggers to use this one as well, just make sure you thank me :)

Hope everyone has a great week. I am not sure if there will be another new post this week or not. I don't have anything in my drafts to post about and my schedule looks a little packed.

Drink a cup or two for me in the meantime.

  2. I'm sticking to positive things which the hobby is. Nice gray sorting trays. I'm still thinking about getting a 25-slot tray that is in one piece. I really enjoy listening to Berman. He saves a lot of time by doing the whole NFL weekend in three minutes. Put one foot in front of the other and keep the coffee flowing! Enjoy the time.

  3. See, that wasn't difficult at all. Down here (especially in Ocala) you have to justify your work each and everyday no slacking, lol. The coffee thing reminds me of one of my mother's in fact her #1 rule for her employees. I don't pay you to chit chat, if you want to blab with co-workers over coffee get to work early.....if you're not 15 minutes early you are LATE and fired. My mom was a tough cookie. Dang, I miss her.
