Would You Rather? Battle Of Hall Of Fame Options

*takes a sip, sits down for today's latest post on Cards Over Coffee*

Welcome back to another Would You Rather? Today, I decided to challenge you a little more. Good luck.

The game is called, Would You Rather. In this series you will be given two choices and you must make one decision sort of like The Matrix. Each decision you make will also have a problem tied into it and you will have to decide which is the better of the two choices.

You will also have to live with your decision for the rest of your life...so make the right one.

*in a deep voice sitting in the dark*Hello Readers, my name is Mattpheus. I am the leader of the sport card universe and can offer you the control of your future.

I have two pills to offer you *holds hand out with both pills* that will lead you on your path today. Each pill gives you both an reward and a penalty.

Today, you can take the Red Pill and you can only collect Hall Of Famer relic cards, but they are all licensed manufactured relics
Or you can choose the Blue Pill and you can only collect Hall Of Famer autograph, but the cards are unlicensed.

Make your decision below in the comments.

I will be awaiting your choice with my cup of coffee in the dark.

DISCLAIMER:
Taking both pills at the same time will lead to memory loss

I hope you enjoy this new segment and I hope a lot of you join in on the conversation.

Have a great day!

  1. If I haddddd to, I'd take the autographs. At least they are real and not some made-up whatever that are "collectible"

  2. I'll take my chances with the unlicensed autographs. My favorite autograph I own is unlicensed, but I know it's legit because I stood in line and watched him sign it. By the way, please email me your address (mattkeppel -at- yahoo -dot- com). Brendan from View From The 3rd Floor sent me your prize my mistake.

  3. I'll admit there are some cool looking manu-relics, but I would rather collect unlicensed autographs. So long as they're authentic, I'm okay paying less for legendary signatures with no team names or logos.

  4. Actual licensed relics might be tempting, but manu-relics to me are just cards with something thick in them. Autos all the way. I'm quite happy to find unlicensed autos of players I like at a good price. Leaf Hall of Famer autos at about $10? Yes, please!

Here's one I thought of recently, I don't know if you've done something like it: would you rather have all your relics be plain, one-color swatches, but say "game-used", or have multiple colors, but only say "player used"?

  5. Add me to the others that would collect the unlicensed cards with autographs. I see people collecting autographs on plain index cards. I would prefer a photo of the player, even without logos, to that.

  6. Autographs for me as well, especially if they're on-card autos.

  7. Autos for me, please. I don't care much to add real relics to my collection, let alone manu-relics.

  8. After seeing all the other replies for unlicensed autos, I am now convinced to go with the autos as well. However, the whatever part of me wants to take both pills, so I can forget you set up this question to begin with. 😁

  9. Neither. I love autographs, but am not of fan of cards without logos. As for manufactured relics, I don't mind them. But don't imagine a scenario where that is all I collected. If it came down to only collecting one of these two things, I'd just savor the collection I have and focus on one of my other hobbies.
