Coffee Break:2022 Topps Tier One Baseball (solid pull!)

*takes a sip, gets ready for the latest post on cards over coffee*

Even though this week my mind is completely focused on the start of football season, NFL Pick 'Ems and Fantasy football to focus on along with the Giants first game, it is still baseball season and baseball card season. Today I am ripping one of the latest Topps high end product offerings.

In every box of 2022 Topps Tier One baseball there is one pack of three cards. Each card is a hit and each box has 2 autographs and one relic card. Boxes run about $225 which isn't bad for some of the offerings you could find inside. Definitely cheaper than a football option would be. It seems baseball cards don't have as many popular rookie hits to chase in 2022 which is why prices have stayed down. I don't hear people chasing Wander anymore or barely a whisper of O'Neill from Pitt.

Oh well. Just means it saves the bigger hits for the rest of us.

My first hit from the pack was the dual relic card of Kyle Hendricks. One of the swatches on here is a patch, the other is just a regular jersey. Gotta admit that bothers me when both swatches are not patch swatches.

My next pull was this Dustin May autograph. I am not sure what it is with me with pulling Dodger pitcher autographs.

Then finally, a big one! Not a bat knob card like I had hoped but a Buster Posey auto. Not bad at all! This card is also numbered to 25.

Normally, I don't hit decent cards from this product. This may be the first time I actually landed back the value of the box. Normally my breaks are loaded with rookie pitcher hits. Guess I was do.

  1. That's a pretty solid dual auto featuring Posey. These products never have the value factor but every now and then you get something fun like that.
