2022 Cards Over Coffee Hall Of Fame Cards

*sits down in a tux with a pile of cards to present the winners for the inaugural year. let's get to some cards over coffee*

*first, lets take a sip or two*

Well, the inaugural edition of my Hall Of Fame didn't quite go as well as I had hoped. A lot of commenters didn't nominate any cards to be voted on. There were plenty of cards I thought that should have been voted in but didn't make it, at least in your opinion, or maybe you simply forgot to vote. I mean, that Griffey auto I added recently really should have made it.

So, this led to only four cards being nominated which meant no voting needed to narrow it down to five. This means that all 4 cards have made it into the Card Over Coffee Hall Of Fame.

Here are the 2022 Inductees and who they were nominated by,

Nominated by myself, Matt, Oren, Fuji

Congrats to our Winners and thanks goes out to those of you who nominated.

I haven't decided if I will bring this back for 2023 since the reaction was so poor. If I do, I may change a few of the rules and make things easier. Maybe even post out reminders.

Let me know in comments if you would like to see this back and how I can tweak it so you would join in more.

Have a great day!

  1. I kinda lost track of this. Were we suppose to nominate cards throughout the year as we saw them in posts? Or was there one specific post with a bunch of nominees? I like the idea of a personalized card hall of fame for your blog. I can't speak for others, but it would be easier for me as a reader to have specific posts where we vote. It could even be a monthly post where you recap your favorite additions and you have your readers vote. Then at the end of the year, you showcase the monthly winners and have your readers vote again to reveal who gets inaugurated.
