Two

*the smell of coffee in the morning is like batteries for the energizer bunny. it keeps you going an d going and going....*

*takes a sip of brewed coffee, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, ready for a new post*
Two years ago, I thought it was a good idea to start a blog that combines two of my passions, coffee and cards.

Two years later, I sometimes question it.

It has been such an up and down time on here when it comes to blogging. This blog is so specific in it's setup, that it makes it challenging for a lot of posts to be creative enough to keep things rolling or being able to post them in the first place, but so far it's holding on.

Year 2 brought out a bunch of new content and new segments I am trying out. This is all a part of a new tweak I am hoping will get this blog out there more. The sad state of this blog is the fact that it really hasn't grown much at all in two years, but yet I keep chugging on. See what I did there? Or is it too early for coffee humor?

I would be more than happy to take any suggestions in comments on what you think it would take to grow this blog more.

In the meantime, I want to thank those of you who come here and read about my coffee drinking and card collecting. I truly appreciate the support and time you spend. I put a lot of effort and time into this blog so every view, every comment really matters.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

Tell me your favorite posts on here in comments in celebration of Year 2.

  2. A. Happy Anniversary!

    B. I wish I had suggestions for making a blog grow. If I did, I'd take my own advice. These days, I just go with the flow and accept I'll never have thousands of followers. I'm actually okay with that though, because I like the interaction I have with the people who do read my posts. Not sure I have the time to respond to hundreds of comments :D

    C. I enjoy this blog as a whole, because it's more "story time" and less "here's my latest card". I'm not against those kind of posts, but "stories" are always way more entertaining for me.

    1. I am not into numbers, but more comments and a little more reach is my aim.

  3. Congrats on 2 years. As far as "growing" a blog, I don't have any answers. I'm not blogging to get famous or to be an influencer that has tons of followers. I don't have other social media accounts to promote my blog. I lurked on blogs for a long time before jumping in. I think it's fun and if others want to share in it, then I'm ok with that. So any growth as you put it, for my blog comes from other bloggers that mention my blog or add my blog to their blogroll. Heck I was surprised when Fuji and Jon started following my blog. Now there are 20 followers and I hope they enjoy it. You get out of it what you put in it, and hopefully you'll be enjoying blogging for a long time.

  4. I think my favorite posts are split between when you talk about your past or trading with your dad and when you do box breaks of products like wildcard, sage, non-sports...just stuff I wouldn't normally see. Most importantly if you're passionate about something it will show in your writing, and I think that's the best way to hook readers.
